Agricultural processing businesses that were impacted by the February and March 2022 floods are being assisted to re-establish operations through the Australian and NSW Government’s $22 million Supply Chain Support Program.

Federal Minister for Emergency Management, Senator the Hon Murray Watt said assistance is now available to rebuild, repair and improve the resilience of eligible processors that operate within the fisheries, horticulture and agriculture sectors.

Funding to support the recovery of Queensland’s threatened freshwater aquatic species

More than $1.4 million in funding is now available to help Queensland’s threatened freshwater aquatic species to recover from recent extraordinary flooding and rainfall events.

The Biodiversity Conservation Grant Program (Flood Recovery) is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DFRA) and will be administered by the Queensland Department of Environment and Science (DES).

More disaster assistance for Victorians

This extension brings the total number of Victorian areas eligible for the DRA and DRFA to 64. The AGDRP is now available in 29 LGAs.

First Ipswich homes settled through voluntary buy-back program

​The first flood impacted Ipswich houses have been settled through the jointly funded Commonwealth and State government $741 million Resilient Homes Fund, the largest program of its kind to ever be delivered in Queensland. 

Minister for Emergency Management Senator the Hon Murray Watt said the settlement of the first voluntary home buy-backs represented an important milestone for the program.
