The Australian and Victorian Governments will fund 24 community projects in Victoria to improve disaster mitigation as part of the latest round of the Risk and Resilience Grants Program.

More than $3 million has been made available to a range of emergency service organisations to local councils, government departments and volunteer agencies.

Agricultural processing businesses that were impacted by the February and March 2022 floods are being assisted to re-establish operations through the Australian and NSW Government’s $22 million Supply Chain Support Program.

More than $1.4 million in funding is now available to help Queensland’s threatened freshwater aquatic species to recover from recent extraordinary flooding and rainfall events.

The Biodiversity Conservation Grant Program (Flood Recovery) is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DFRA) and will be administered by the Queensland Department of Environment and Science (DES).

​The first flood impacted Ipswich houses have been settled through the jointly funded Commonwealth and State government $741 million Resilient Homes Fund, the largest program of its kind to ever be delivered in Queensland.
