To prepare for bushfires, just reach for your phone

The Bushfire Resilience Star Rating App will soon be a tool for all Australians to understand the bushfire risk of their home and make the appropriate preparations.

The project, funded by the Australian Government Disaster Risk Reduction Package, brings science and evidence together in a tool for householders to identify bushfire hazards around the home and plan ways to mitigate their risk and improve the survivability of their homes.

The Bushfire Resilience Star Rating App was recently piloted with the Shoalhaven community, who were severely impacted by the Black Summer bushfires in the summer of 2019.

Watch the full video to see how the Bushfire Resilience Star Rating App is building better bushfire resilience in Australia and across the globe.
