We’re working with communities to improve resilience and disaster readiness.
We're doing this through the Protecting Our Communities (Disaster Resilience) Program (POC).
Since 2022, the Australian Government has committed $38.25 million to deliver 28 projects that communities identified for their local area.
The project aims to:

There are 2 parts to the program.
We administer part 1. State and territory governments administer part 2. Find out more about the schedules.
Project start dates and milestones vary. By 30 June 2028, all projects will be complete. All funding available under the POC program has been allocated.
