Supporting primary producers impacted by the 2019 North Queensland Monsoon Trough
The North Queensland Re-stocking, Replanting and On-farm Infrastructure Grant was established in the aftermath of the 2019 North Queensland Monsoon Trough event to help primary producers in the 14 most affected local government areas to get back on their feet.
Purpose
The North Queensland Re-stocking, Replanting and On-farm Infrastructure Grant provided $240 million for co-contribution grants of up to $400,000, which were available to eligible primary production enterprises for:

replacing lost livestock
-
replanting lost or damaged crops or permanent plantings
-
restoring or replacing lost or damaged on-farm infrastructure.
Key dates
The North Queensland Re-stocking, Replanting and On-farm Infrastructure Grant closed to applications on 30 June 2022.
Successful applicants have until 31 March 2024 to draw down approved funds. This date has been set to ensure that approved applicants can make informed business decisions and plan ahead.

The North Queensland Restocking, Replanting and On-farm Infrastructure Grants are funded by the Australian Government's National Emergency Management Agency and administered by the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority.
